Competition description
We are pleased to announce that on February 21, 22, and 23, we will be hosting the Perelada WAGR Championship! This event is a qualifying competition for the R&A and USGA World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), as well as for the Federació Catalana de Golf (FCGolf) Grand Prix Rankings in the Absolute, Boy & Girl, and Cadet categories. It is also valid for the SACE (Sistema de Acceso a los Campeonatos de España).
The Golf Club Perelada offers an exceptional setting for this championship, with an 18-hole course that will challenge the best amateur players.
The championship is open to male and female amateur players with a valid license and active handicap, with a maximum of 60 male players and 24 female players. Participants will be selected based on their exact handicap, and spots will be reserved for invited players from the organizing entity. Additionally, up to 15 international players not federated by the RFEG will be allowed to participate.
The tournament will be played in Stroke Play Scratch format over 54 holes, spread over three consecutive days. Players will compete from the white tees (men) and blue tees (women), and the starting times will be determined by handicap order on the first day and by reverse Scratch results on the following days.
Participants can practice on the course on February 17, 18, 19, and 20, at a cost of €45. Registrations will be open from January 20 to February 17, 2025, and must be completed through the online form.

COMPETITION TERMS
- PARTICIPANTS
All amateur male and female players with a valid license issued by their respective National Federation with an activated handicap may participate, with the limitations expressed below. All registrations are subject to the approval and acceptance of the club and the Catalan Golf Federation, who reserve the right to accept or reject them.
The player's handicap must not exceed 26.4 at the time of registration closure.
In the case of international players without a Spanish license, the official exact handicap to be considered will be the one certified by their respective National Federation.
The number of participants may not exceed 60 male players and 24 female players, who will be the ones registered correctly in time and form, with the lowest exact handicap, including the 3 male and 3 female guests reserved by the Competition Committee, mainly for players from the Organizing Entity.
In case of a tie for the 60th place for men and the 24th place for women, the player who registered first for the competition will participate. Both for men and women, if the maximum number of participants is not reached, either category may be expanded if there is a waiting list until reaching a total of 84 players. This applies to both national and international players.
Invitations will be awarded at the last possible moment after the registration and waiting lists close.
Among the 84 accepted players, there may be a maximum of 15 foreign participants not federated by the RFEG. All must send a handicap certificate at the time of registration.
In the case of Spanish players, the official exact handicap to be considered for the list of admitted players will be the one in the RFEG database at 10:00 a.m. the day after the registration closes.
Among the registered players not admitted for not being among the 60 men and 24 women with the lowest handicap, a waiting list will be established, in order of exact handicap, to cover one by one the possible absences communicated within the stipulated period. The criterion to establish the order of priority among players on the waiting list with the same exact handicap will be the earliest registration date.
- REGISTRATIONS
Registrations will be open from January 20, 2025, until February 17, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. and must be done online: (https://www.golfperalada.com)
Once the registration has been recorded, it will be confirmed in the same way the registration was made (phone, an email confirmation will be sent, or the online confirmation will be received).
The lists of registered players will be updated periodically on the website: (https://www.golfperalada.com)
In the case of international players without a Spanish license, they must attach an updated handicap certificate from their respective countries to the email: casa.club@golfperalada.com
The list of admitted players and the provisional waiting list will be published on the website the day after the registration closes.
From that moment, a 24-hour claim period will be established to correct possible errors. After this period, no claims will be attended to, and the lists will be considered definitively closed.
It is the sole responsibility of the player to ensure that their registration is processed correctly and, once the participant lists are published, to confirm if they have been admitted.
PLAYING RIGHTS
The registration fee will be €120 for all registered players who turn 19 or older in 2025 and €90 for players up to 18 years old.
The player must pay the registration fee at Casa Club when collecting the card.
(In case of online payment) All players with a Green Card from the Catalan Golf Federation must make the payment where indicated and request a refund at gruiz@catgolf.com once the tournament is over.

GAME FORMULA
It will be played over 54 holes Stroke Play Scratch, in three consecutive days, at a rate of 18 holes each day.
TEE MARKERS
White for men and blue for women.
ORDER AND STARTING TIME
The starting times will be determined by handicap order on the first day and by reverse Scratch result order from the second day (always breaking ties in favor of the higher playing handicap).
PRIZES
The champion, championess, runner-up, and runner-up scratch will receive trophies.
“Scratch trophies will also be awarded to the first classified Boy, the first classified Girl, the first classified cadet, and the first classified cadet.”
For any of these prizes to be awarded, a minimum of 4 participants in each of the corresponding categories will be required.
Prizes will not be cumulative.
- WHEN A SCORECARD IS SUBMITTED
The scorecard, whether physical or digital, is considered submitted when the player has left the area established by the Committee.
- HOW TIES WILL BE RESOLVED
In case of a tie for the positions of Champion and Championess, the tied competitors will play a sudden-death playoff, hole by hole, until the tie is broken. The order of the holes to be played will be 1, 9, 1, 9, and so on, following the course layout.
For the rest of the positions, ties will be resolved following the formula established in the RFEG Green Book for Scratch events (ties will be broken in favor of the higher playing handicap).
For all Scratch classifications, the three rounds will be considered. If for any reason, any of the prize categories do not have a representative finishing the last round, the prize will be declared void.

When the winners have been announced at the awards ceremony.
