The 59th Gran Premi de Catalunya "Hexagonal" 2025 is a prestigious amateur golf tournament organized by the Catalan Golf Federation. This event is governed by the current Golf Rules, the Local Rules of the FCGolf, and the specific competition terms.
Participants
All amateur players who turn 15 or older in the year of the tournament and hold a valid federation license issued by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation or the Andorran Golf Federation can register. Players under 18 must form a team with at least two players over 18. The maximum handicaps for registration are:
- 15-17 years: 10.4
- 18 years or older: 22.4 for men and 24.4 for women
Registrations
The tournament accepts a maximum of 36 teams, distributed as follows:
- The winning team from the previous edition (provided they maintain 3 of the 4 main players).
- 5 teams exclusively female with the lowest combined handicap.
- 30 teams with the lowest combined handicap of the 4 main players.
Registrations will be done online, and the fee is €1440 per team. The registration deadline is March 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
Game Format
The Hexagonal is played in a handicap format, with 18 holes STABLEFORD handicap on each course. The rounds alternate between fourball and individual play, with specific rules for scoring and classification.
Classifications and Prizes
Classifications are divided into:
- General by teams: Summing the results of each course.
- Scratch: Summing the scratch results of each course.
- Seniors: For teams where all members are seniors.
- Females: For exclusively female teams.
Prizes are awarded to the best-ranked teams in each category, including handicap, scratch, seniors, females, and consolation.
Organization
The Organizing Committee and the Competition Committee are responsible for the direction and decisions of the tournament, ensuring the smooth running of the competition.
